While surfing Internet, I found there are plenty of good tutorials shared by handcraft lovers. Therefore, I would like to take initiative to compile them into a blog. Do not use the pattern for commercial use and the copyrights still fall back to the tutorials owner and I am not taking any responsibilities for any plagiarism.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comBlogger404125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6773138345157649944.post-16869697372149189612014-05-07T02:44:00.000+08:002014-05-07T02:44:28.085+08:00Fabric: elastic bookmarkMy mom asked me what can she do with wide sized elastic tape and I had search up and down for creative usage beside making it a elastic waist skirt, and I found this quite useful!

What you need are:

Fabric, elastic tape, sewing machine

With this elastic bookmark, I have no more worried my bookmark slipping out when I throw my book in a bag, no need to make dog ears to mark the spot~

There was a small glue stick given in the pack but I did not use it. For those who wants to know how to melt the glue stick, you can easily get a candle or lighter and heat it up. It is so tiny, so when you heat up the glue stick, please be careful. I had substitute the glue stick with UHU brand glue, it works well too~

This was a very good idea for natural play, you can make one at home too~

This idea was presented by a Chinese Waldorf practitioner,

she had made a lot of nature toy out from branches.

This nature toy creator basically make her toys from the tree trunk near her house.

Those unwanted branches after tree trimming were fully utilised :)

B-line has shared with us a tutorial on the making of felt bowl and I think it will be pretty good organiser for your desk or even as toy basket~

What you need are:
Good color combination of felt cloths
Ruler
Scissors
Today we going to discuss how to make a recycle travel tag/luggage tag from recycle card holder.

Sometime when we purchase certain products, we tend to get a simple two sided card holder and normally we dunno what to do with it. I bet most of us will have more than 2 cards in our wallet, so what can we do with the 2 empty pocket? Well here is a good suggestion, especially if you going for travel.

Let's look at the tutorial here.

What you need to prepare are:

Card holder which to be re-purpose

Paper, images from magazine, cloth (yeah, you can use cloth too)

Glue

ribbon or string

sew machine

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6773138345157649944.post-8191224238231595702012-04-15T15:05:00.000+08:002012-04-15T15:06:54.751+08:00Felt: how to keep your threads?People like me always have problems keeping threads when making crafts. How do you overcome this problem? Let's look at this tutorial written in Korean. No worry how to understand what's the content, look at the series of photos which illustrate the process.

Materials you need:
A paper to draw the template
Some felt
as usual scissors, needles ^^

Ok, let's go to the thread organiser tutorial.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6773138345157649944.post-35770606589953501852012-04-10T12:57:00.001+08:002012-04-10T12:57:52.642+08:00Felt: Needle BookAt all times when i do my craft, I always have the needles every where. I know this is not a good practice but I cant help. Finally I make up my mind to make myself a needle book and resolve the issue. Now my needles have a home :)

Make a needle book is not a huge project. It can be as simple as making a name card holder. The main differences are, you need to add on few more felt pieces in between to make it a book~

Get yourself ready with:
*Felt for cover
*Matching button
*Coordinating felt for pages
*Scissors
*Matching thread
*Sewing machine
*Additional felt for embellishing cover
*Fabric glue for embellishments (optional)

Let's look at this felt tutorial prepared by Little Bird Secrets.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6773138345157649944.post-15898887513359828892012-04-09T12:04:00.001+08:002012-04-09T12:04:20.909+08:00Felt: Flower using hot glueAs per the title, this tutorial is an quick and easy one. With a pair of scissors, hot glue (or any other type of fabric glue), and of course the felt pieces, you can make one flower in 20 minutes time!

Let's click here for the tutorial prepared by Blue Robbin Cottage.

What you can do with this felt flower? You can make it into different sizes and turn it into:
1. Flower hairband
2. Felt flower corsage
3. Fridge magnet
4. Hair pin
5. Embellishments
6. Ribbons for present
